Full Description

A Primary School and house built in 1849 and extended in 1895. The building was constructed of yellow brick with ashlar and terracotta dressings and has slate roof with overhanging verges with decorated barge boards and projecting eaves with carved brackets. For the full description and the legal address of this listed building please refer to the appropriate List of Buildings of Special Architectural or Historic Interest. {1} White's 1856 Trade Directory of Lincolnshire states that Brocklesby Park Schools were built here in 1849. White's 1872 Directory states that the schools educated the children of Great Limber, Brocklesby, Keelby, Kirmington and Habrough parishes, and were attended by 160 children. A library in the schools held over 300 volumes for the use of the working classes. {2}{3}
