Full Description

A house dating from the mid 18th century which was constructed of coursed limestone rubble, limestone ashlar and some red brick. It has a pantile roof with tile coped gables, decorated brick eaves, gable stacks and two gabled dormers with casements. {1} The building was subject to an historic building appraisal (ELI14458) in 2019 prior to proposed renovations. As it was during the survey, the building was a 6 bedroom manor house distinct from an earlier, 14th century building also called Manor House. The building is an L-shaped, coursed limestone building with brick elements. The ground floor and frontage of the building was considered to hold the highest significance based on the survival of older, more original and sympathetic fabric. {2}
