Full Description
A 1656 farmhouse which underwent extensive remodelling in the early 19th century. It was constructed of painted brick with a hipped slate roof and two brick wall stacks. In front of the house is a built up earth bank, concealing the basement which is in fact the ground floor of the original 17th century house. Hall Farm (Hall Farm), Newton on Trent. Partially extant 17th century farmstead. Regular courtyard with linked working buildings to all four sides of the yard. The farmhouse is detached from the main working complex. There has been a partial loss (less than 50%) of traditional buildings. Located within or in association with a village. Large modern sheds are located on the site. {2}
