Full Description

Row of early 19th century houses, constructed of coursed ironstone rubble and red brick laid in English Garden Wall bond. Features pantile roofs with stone coped gables and kneelers, and with two ridge chimney stacks. The buildings are of three storeys, and have a front with six bays on the ground floor and four bays to the higher floors. The interiors include two 19th century cast iron ranges. There is a local tradition that this building was originally a tithe barn, though this seems improbable in view of its narrowness, height and absence of large side opening at rear. For the full description and the legal address of this listed building please refer to the appropriate entry in the National Heritage List for England. {1}{2}{3}
