Full Description

The Rectory is a Grade II listed building, which was built in 1840 and underwent alterations and additions in the 20th century. The building was constructed of yellow brick with ashlar dressings and has a hipped slate roof and two ridge stacks. For the full description and the legal address of this listed building please refer to the appropriate List of Buildings of Special Architectural or Historic Interest. {1} The present rectory of 1840 is believed to stand on the site of an earlier, possibly medieval, rectory. This earlier structure is mentioned in a glebe terrier of 1606, and was possibly referred to in the 14th century. {2}
