Full Description
A 17th century farmhouse which underwent major alterations in the late 18th century and minor alterations in the 19th and 20th centuries. It was constructed of coursed limestone rubble and red brick with dark headers in Flemish bond and has stucco dressings. It also has a very wide and steeply pitched concrete tiled roof with stone coped gables with kneelers and two brick gable stacks. The roof space was originally used as a granary. Prospect House (Barff Farm), Glentham. Partially extant 17th century farmstead. Regular courtyard with linked working buildings to all four sides of the yard. The farmhouse is detached from the main working complex. There has been a partial loss (less than 50%) of traditional buildings. Isolated location. Large modern sheds are located to the side of the site. {2}
