Full Description
A late 17th century house which underwent alterations in the early 19th and 20th century. It was constructed of coursed limestone rubble with brick dressings and ashlar quoins. It has a pantile roof with stone coped gables and kneelers and two brick gable stacks. In the two bedrooms are early 19th century bath grates in moulded wooden surrounds. Manor House, Normanby By Spital. Partially extant 17th century farmstead. Loose courtyard with L-plan range plus detached buildings to the third side of the yard. The farmhouse is detached from the main working complex. There has been significant loss (greater than 50%) of traditional buildings. Isolated location. {2}
