Full Description

A mid 18th century small country house which underwent alterations and addition in the 19th century. It was constructed of red brick with ashlar dressings and render and has a hipped slate roof with lead dressings with two brick ridge stacks. The house was owned and lived in by Tennysons grandfather. It was also used as a German Officer prison of war camp in the 1939-45 war.
