Full Description

A late 18th century farmhouse named Tithe House, constructed of colour washed brick. It has a pantiled roof with stone coped gables and kneelers, two gable stacks and tumbled gables. {1} Tithe House has historically been a part of Hillside Farm, a partially redeveloped 18th century farmstead. Regular courtyard with L-plan range plus detached buildings to the third side of the yard. The farmhouse is detached from the main working complex. Located within a loose farmstead cluster. Large modern sheds are located on the site. {2} A building recording undertaken in 2017 concerning the outbuildings in the southeast portion of the site recorded likely 19th century fabric, while noting that at least Tithe House appears in mapping dating to 1795. {3}{4}
