Full Description

Grade II listed house, dating from the 16th century and altered in the 17th century and restored and altered in the 19th and 20th centuries. It is squared limestone rubble with ashlar quoins and dressings and has a Collyweston slate roof with raised stone coped gables with kneelers and single gable and ridge ashlar stacks with moulded cornices. It has a cross plan. The house may incorporate an earlier building of the Bishops of Lincoln, and was twice partially destroyed by fire and remodelled. Regular courtyard with linked working buildings to all four sides of the yard. The farmhouse is detached from the main working complex. There has been a partial loss (less than 50%) of traditional buildings. Located within or in association with a village. {2}
