Full Description
A late eighteenth century farmhouse with later additions now used as a house. It is two storeys and built of stone and brick with pantile and concrete tile roofs. Casthorpe Lodge, Barrowby. Partially extant 18th century farmstead. Regular courtyard of U plan. The farmhouse is detached from the main working complex. There has been a partial loss (less than 50%) of traditional buildings. Isolated location. Large modern sheds are located to the side of the site. {2}
Barrowby Lodge, Barrowby. Partially extant 19th century farmstead. Regular courtyard with linked working buildings to all four sides of the yard. The farmhouse is attached to a range of working buildings. There has been significant loss (greater than 50%) of traditional buildings. Isolated location. {2}
