The front elevation of this house is late 18th century but there is a date plaque to the rear dated W over HS 1674 [this is reset - see below]. The house is two storeys high with attics and built of ashlar stone. It has a 19th century conservatory. The main section of this house was built shortly before around 1796. It includes an earlier range to the south which probably dates to the early 18th century although it has a mid 19th century street front. The rear wall has a reset date panel of 1674. The interior decoration is mainly of the early 19th century and there is a plain original staircase. The range to the south was refitted in the late 19th century. {2}
