St Peter's Hill, No 42 High Street is a Grade II Listed Building dating from the late 18th century. It is three storeys high and built of red brick. A town house, which used to be known as 'Halls', which was built in 1788. Its design is attributed to John Brewster. After being used as a house, it became a school until 1917. In the early 1920s it was converted to 'Halls Furnishing' company. The front has been considerably altered but still retains a semi-circular (or Diocletion) window. {2}
