[Note - where there is confusion or discrepancy between sources regarding the date of a building, the Royal Commission survey (which is the most detailed and recent) has been taken as the most reliable.]
The main range of this house may be of 16th century origin. It has stone walls which may have replaced timber framing (the rear wall is still timber framed). There is a rear block probably dating to the early 17th century. The walls of this block also appear to have been timber framed originally. The street front dates to the early 19th century. The interior includes a substantial original chimney stack as well as original ceiling beams and an 18th century staircase. The north room of the main range appears to have originally been the hall. {1}
This house has a mid 18th century front on an earlier building [this date is probably incorrect - see above]. It is two storeys high and cement rendered. For the full description and the legal address of this listed building please refer to the appropriate List of Buildings of Special Architectural or Historic Interest. {2}
