This building was formerly the butter market, and was built in 1861. It is two storeys in height and built of ashlar stone with a slate roof and modern shop fronts. It is currently a public waiting room. The butter market was built in 1861 to a design by Edward Browning and has a closed-in three bay Italianate arcade. {2}
