PRN 38505 Early 19th century house with modern shop front. For the full description and the legal address of this listed building please refer to the appropriate List of Buildings of Special Architectural or Historic Interest. {1} Above the archway on the left of the property is a sign 'Wilkins' Place'. The archway now simply provides access to the rear of no.84 but early OS maps show a yard with around a dozen separate small dwellings built within what was an extensive burgage plot stretching back from the street. These dwellings were typical of the early 19th century and survived until at least around the 1930s. {3}
