Full Description

PRN 38284 [Note - where there is confusion or discrepancy between sources regarding the date of a building, the Royal Commission survey (which is the most detailed and recent) has been taken as the most reliable.] This row of eight houses dates to the early 19th century. A corresponding row on the west has been demolished. An arch which linked the two rows remains and leads to a yard which formerly contained the privies. {1} This row of stone cottages forms one block with no. 26 St Peter's Street (PRN 38386). It probably dates to the late 17th century [this is probably incorrect - see above]. The range has a slate mansard roof with dormer windows. The windows have wood frames and those on the ground floor have outside shutters. The opposite side of the court has been demolished. For the full description and the legal address of this listed building please refer to the appropriate List of Buildings of Special Architectural or Historic Interest. {2}
