Full Description

PRN 38259 [Note - where there is confusion or discrepancy between sources regarding the date of a building, the Royal Commission survey (which is the most detailed and recent) has been taken as the most reliable.] This timber framed house is perhaps 17th century. Its front was formerly jettied and has been underbuilt in stone. The west wall has been rebuilt in stone. The interior includes heavy, roughly chamfered beams. {1} This house is probably early 18th century [this may be incorrect - see above]. It is two storeys in height and has a rough rendered upper storey with imitation half-timbering and an old slate roof. It has a modern shop window. For the full description and the legal address of this listed building please refer to the appropriate List of Buildings of Special Architectural or Historic Interest. {2}
