[Note - where there is confusion or discrepancy between sources regarding the date of a building, the Royal Commission survey (which is the most detailed and recent) has been taken as the most reliable.]
This house appears to have a medieval origin and the present wall height suggests the survival of much of the medieval wall. The house presently has an appearance, both inside and out, dating to around 1800. A late 17th century plan and elevation shows the building's former appearance and suggests a medieval house with a hall on the west and a service compartment to the east. {1}
This house is possibly 17th century but with a cement rendered front and 19th century fenestration [this dating is probably incorrect - see above]. For the full description and the legal address of this listed building please refer to the appropriate List of Buildings of Special Architectural or Historic Interest. {2}
