This building dates to the early 18th century. It is two storeys in height with attics and is constructed of painted ashlar stone with a slate roof. The rear elevation is 5 Crown Street. There is a brick extension with a small shop front to the east. This 18th century building was formerly the Lord Nelson Inn. An addition to the rear with a much altered shop front may date to around 1838 when improvements were carried out by William Baker, a wine and coal merchant. The interior has been gutted except for the stairs. {2}
