Full Description
Grade II* listed house, dating from the early 16th century and altered in 1637, the 18th, 19th and 20th centuries. It is coursed dark gold bands of ironstone with light gold bands of ironstone, narrow bands of blue lias and limestone ashlar dressings and has slate, plain tile and pantile roofs with stone coped gables, finials, slight kneelers and two coped stone ridge stacks. Old Hall, Hough-on-the-Hill. Partially extant 19th century farmstead. Loose courtyard with four sides of the courtyard formed by working agricultural buildings. The farmhouse is attached to a range of working buildings. There has been a partial loss (less than 50%) of traditional buildings. Located within a Church and/or Manor farm group. Large modern sheds are located to the side of the site. {2}
