Full Description

PRN 37419 18th century stone house with a modern shop front. The interior contains an 18th century panelled room and a very good mid 18th century staircase. There is a red brick wing at the back which is said to have been built to accommodate the Prince Regent. It is believed that the rear was built in 1810. The house originally belonged to the Whichcote family of Aswardby but is now owned by the Grantham Almshouse Trust. The ground floor has been destroyed to build a modern shop front. {2}
