Full Description

Grade II* listed large barn, now machine store, dating from the 16th century. It is squared limestone rubble with ashlar quoins and dressings, stone coped gables with moulded ridge piece and a slate roof. For the full description of this listed building please refer to the National Heritage List for England. {1} Church Farm, Great Ponton. Partially extant 16th century farmstead. Loose courtyard with three sides of the courtyard formed by working agricultural buildings. The farmhouse is detached with the long axis facing on to the yard. There has been a partial loss (less than 50%) of traditional buildings. Located within or in association with a village. Large modern sheds are located to the side of the site. {2}
