Full Description

PRN 37223 [Note - where there is confusion or discrepancy between sources regarding the date of a building, the Royal Commission survey (which is the most detailed and recent) has been taken as the most reliable.] This timber framed house dates to the 16th or early 17th century with a later stone end wall and a slightly later parallel range to the rear. The front was originally jettied, although this is now only traceable in the east wall. In the 18th century two three storey bay windows which rise above the eaves were added to the front. The rear wall is slightly jettied and has exposed timber studs. It also has two oriel windows which are probably replacements. {1} This building dates to the 17th century and later [this date is probably incorrect - see above]. It is two storeys in height with large hexagonal bay windows and two modern shop fronts. For the full description and the legal address of this listed building please refer to the appropriate List of Buildings of Special Architectural or Historic Interest. {2}
