This house dates from the early 18th century and comprises three tenements. The interior has been mostly destroyed by later shops but it retains some remains of early fireplaces. {2}
The great central firestack in nos. 8 and 9 suggests an earlier building, however the plan reveals no other early features and it is clear it has been entirely rebuilt. {4}
