Full Description

Late 18th century farmhouse, altered in the mid 19th and 20th centuries. Built of red brick laid in English bond, and features a concrete tiled roof, with two 19th century brick gable chimney stacks. The building is of two storeys, and has a three-bay front with half-glazed 19th century door and overlight. For the full description and the legal address of this listed building please refer to the appropriate entry in the National Heritage List for England. {1}{2} Ivy House was visited in February 2026, as part of research to inform proposed alterations including the construction of a new single-storey, rear summer room extension. The building is an example of a typical late Georgian rural farmhouse in the Lincolnshire Fens, built of red brick and with a symmetrical three-bay frontage. The timber windows are a mixture of sliding and casement style sash windows with segmental brick heads. {3}
