Full Description

Grade II listed house, now flats, dating from the 1th century and remodelled in about 1840. It is stucco with a hipped slate roof and four side wall stacks. The north-west side has an attached stucco panelled wall with coping, and a pair of square gatepiers with cornices. William Hilton, historical painter, lived here, and the house was subsequently owned by his brother in law, the painter Peter de Wint.
