Full Description

Grade II listed former Bluecoat school, later Lincolnshire College of Art & Design, now part of DeMontfort University. It dates from 1784 with mid 19th century additions and is by William Lumby. The east wing dates from about 1790. The building was converted in about 1975. It is brick with stone dressings and has a slate roof with two brick stacks. There is a bronze plaque in the tympanum inscribed "Founded by Richard Smith MD June 1st 1612".
