Hotel built in 1722, refronted in 1844, and with additions and alterations of c.1900, 1938 and 1962, the latter by Watkins, Coombes & Partners. The bilding is constructed of brick with a channelled stucco ground floor, stone dressings and plain tile roofs with coped parapets.
