Full Description

A cottage dating from the 17th century which underwent alterations in the late 18th and 20th centuries. It was originally a mud and stud building but was cased in brick and has a corrugated iron roof over thatch, with a brick ridge stack. Partially extant 17th century farmstead. Regular courtyard of L plan. The farmhouse is detached from the main working complex. There has been a partial loss (less than 50%) of traditional buildings. Located within or in association with a village. Large modern sheds are located to the side of the site. {2}
