Full Description
A farmhouse with attached bakehouse, now a storeroom, dating from about 1670 which underwent alterations in the mid 18th century, about 1820 and 20th century. It was constructed of red and stock brick and has slate roofs with brick coped gables with kneelers, a single large ridge stack and a single projecting gable stack. The north range gable end cracked recently revealing a possible timber framed house inside stock brick casing. Thorpe House, Thorpe St. Peter. Partially extant 17th century farmstead. Loose courtyard with three sides of the courtyard formed by working agricultural buildings. The farmhouse is detached from the main working complex. There has been significant loss (greater than 50%) of traditional buildings. Located within or in association with a hamlet. Large modern sheds are located on the site. {2}
