Full Description

A cottage dating from the 17th century which underwent alterations in the 19th century. It was originally mud and stud which was encased in brick in the 19th century and has a thatched half hipped roof with a central axial brick stack. Partially extant 17th century farmstead. Regular courtyard of U plan. The farmhouse is detached from the main working complex. There has been a partial loss (less than 50%) of traditional buildings. Isolated location. Large modern sheds are located to the side of the site. {2}
