Full Description
Former house dating from the early 18th century, though set on a re-used 15th century ashlar stone base. The building underwent alterations in the early 19th century, and is built of red brick laid in Flemish bond, with ashlar quoins, and features a pantile roof with raised brick-coped gables and two brick gable chimney stacks. It is now in use as both a house and shop. The building is of two storeys, and has a five-bay front with first floor band and dogtooth eaves course. The central six-panelled door is flanked by pairs of glazing bar sash windows, with the openings having splayed brick arches. To the first floor are three glazing bar sash windows to the eaves. For the full description and the legal address of this listed building please refer to the appropriate entry in the National Heritage List for England. {1}{2}
The building was converted to use as a café at some point in the early 21st century - possibly in 2010, when it can be seen as 'to let' on Google Streetview imagery. {3}
