Full Description

A public house and inn with a 16th century hall, 17th century parlour block and evidence of early 18th century additions and extensive 19th and 20th century alterations. It was constructed of red brick, partly in English bond and partly in Flemish bond, which was partly white painted and it has a pantile roof with some raised brick coped gables. Partially extant 19th century farmstead. Regular courtyard with multiple regular yards. The farmhouse is detached with the long axis facing on to the yard. There has been a partial loss (less than 50%) of traditional buildings. Isolated location. Large modern sheds are located to the side of the site. {2}
