Full Description

A road bridge built of red brick with ashlar dressings in about 1812, under the direction of John Rennie. It has a basket arch with a red brick band over, bowed swept walls terminating in single square piers and an ashlar coped parapet. The area was drained and enclosed by the engineer John Rennie 1802 to 1812.
