Full Description

A house, now adult education centre, wall, railings and urns, dating from 1726 which underwent alterations in the 19th century. The Architect was possibly William Sands of Spalding. It was constructed of red brick with ashlar dressings and has a plain tiled hipped roof with brick valley stacks. The house was owned by the Jackson family and was rebuilt in 1726. At about that time it came into the ownership of Joseph Fydell, Mayor of Boston. It was owned by the Fydell family in the 18th and 19th centuries several of whom were MPs for Boston. It was acquired by the Boston Preservation Trust in 1935.
