Full Description
A bank dating from 1876 and designed by Lockwood and Mawson of Bradford in a late Gothic style. It has an ashlar front and was constructed of Gault brick with ashlar dressings to side and has a slate roof. It was formerly the Stamford and Spalding Banking Company premises, founded in Stamford in the early 1830's and with its first Boston branch opening in 1835.
