Full Description

Early 19th century milestone on the A52 at Swineshead, to the east of the junction with Fenhouses Drove. It is of painted ashlar limestone, and is square in plan with a pyramidal top. It is inscribed 'SLEAFORD 13 MILES' and 'BOSTON 5 MILES' in the respective side panels. It was found to be in a relatively poor condition at that time, with lots of edge damage being noted. {3}
