Full Description

Grade II listed house, dating from 1576 and altered and extended in the 17th century, extensively remodelled in the late 18th century and with minor alterations in the 20th century. It is red brick mostly in Englishh bond and has slate roofs with a single gable, two triple ridge, and a single wall stack, in brick. Between the right hand pair of upper windows is a terracotta tiled date plaque, 1576, initials WB IB, above a shield. The building is also known as Massom Hall. The farmhouse is detached from the main working complex. Located within a Church and/or Manor farm group. Large modern sheds are located to the side of the site. {2}
