Full Description

Early 19th century milepost on the A52, to the north of Fishtoft. It is triangular in plan, and made of cast-iron. It is inscribed 'FISHTOFT' in the top panel, with 'BOSTON 2M' and 'WAINFLEET 16M' in the respective side panels. For the full description and the legal address of this listed building please refer to the appropriate List of Buildings of Special Architectural or Historic Interest. {1}{2} The milepost was inspected as part of a condition survey of historic milestones in Boston Borough, conducted in early 2020. It was found to be in a relatively poor condition at that time, as the paint had flaked from most of the surfaces and the post was becoming very rusty. {3}
