Early 19th century milestone on the A52 at Butterwick, to the west of the junction with Mill Lane. It is triangular in plan, and made of cast-iron. It is inscribed 'BUTTERWICK' in the top panel, with 'BOSTON 4M' and 'WAINFLEET 14M' in the respective side panels. It was found to be in a relatively fair condition at that time, although the paint had flaked from much of the surface and the post was becoming quite rusty. {3}
