Full Description
A documentary source reveals that a Wesleyan Town Mission was established in Lincoln Lane as an offshoot of the society based at the Wesleyan Centenary Chapel. A Ragged School, with a Penny Bank, was first established in an old house in Lincoln Lane but a new building was erected in 1860 as the new Ragged School or Town Mission. It was enlarged in 1897 but closed by 1936. {1}{2}
