Full Description
There are documentary references to the existence of a Meeting House in Spain Lane in Boston, which was described as Meeting House Lane in records of 1779. The denomination of that Meeting House is unclear but it has been suggested that it probably represented the first Baptist place of worship in the town. It is known that a Baptist church existed in Boston by 1653. It has been suggested that the site is now occupied by the western side of Spain Court. {1}
