The former Wesleyan Chapel and Sunday School at Leverton Outgate are now in use as a house named 'Wesley Place'.
The present building has a date tablet of 1866, though a Wesleyan chapel and school in Leverton Outgate are recorded in White's Directory and the first chapel was built in 1840. The chapel closed in 1992. The present building is constructed of red brick with a new slate roof and gault brick dressings. The probable former school attached to the north east appears to be a later addition but has similar features. The dentillated gable cornice of the chapel is of red brick, though the eaves cornice of the attached school is of gault brick. The arches of the round-headed windows and door of the front elevation are of gault brick, as are those of the blocked roud-headed opening in the gable. The arches of the windows of the side elevation are polychrome with alternating pairs of red brick with single gault brick. The main doorway has a fanlight above and a stepped gault brick arch with stone imposts. The original glazing has been replaced except in the rear window of the chapel, and in the school, and there is coloured glass in some margin lights. {1}{2}{3}{4}
