This building was a former Wesleyan Methodist chapel and is now in use as a house named 'The Old Chapel'. It is built of red brick and the roof is covered with modern tiles. The building has been much altered and extended. Evidence in the North gable wall suggests that the building has been heightened, and the pitch of the roof reduced at some point and it appears to have been extended to the south by one bay which provides the gabled street frontage with the date tablet of 1866. The flat-headed windows have plastic window frames and the current openings have gault brick dressings. Traces of a tall blocked pointed window can be seen on the east elevation. The gabled elevation facing the street has gault brick eaves cornices with billet ornament and dentil brickwork and there are diagonal stepped corner buttresses with stone cappings. The side elevations have stepped buttresses. Two garage doors have been inserted into the rear gable. A documentary source refers to a Wesleyan chapel in Freiston, built in 1822, which had 75 children attending the Sabbath school in 1856.
