Full Description

PRN 24095 Two storey brick built house in Flemish bond with a slate roof and red ridge tiles. The house is currently one single dwelling but and area of infilling suggests that this was originally two smaller houses. It has two large chimney stacks at either end of the house one of which is a modern replacement. Its windows, two per floor, which are sliding sashes with horns replace the narrower windows that would have originally been here. The windows have stone sills and flared rubbed brick flat arches to the top of the windows. The house has a single doorway, which is off centre and it has stone quoins on the left hand side only. The step into this building is quite high and appears to sit on a sill of some kind which is painted black. {1} This building is a good example of this style of building of this period and survives with few changes to its original construction. {2}
