PRN 65340
There was formerly a market cross in the Market Place, opposite the north west door of the church. It consisted of several steps, a base and a shaft. On the base were carved shields, each bearing a saltire between four roundels and the date 1575. The cross was removed in around 1800. The base was kept in the church for a while, but disappeared. {1}
