Full Description

School, c. 1850, with shaped gables. {1} The school was built in 1851 at a cost of nearly £1000. It had two school rooms, each large enough for 100 pupils, and a teacher's house in between. {2}{3} The building is of coursed stone with ashlar dressings, under a pitched gabled roof of tile. The central cross-range has two large ridge stacks. The building can be seen in U-shape plan on the 1905 OS map of Sleaford. It has been expanded considerably to the rear since, and there are also two detached modern classroom buildings on the site. {4}{5}
