Full Description

An unknown number of Roman coins were found during metal detecting on land that is now part of Thonock Golf Course. The coins dated from the Roman republic through to the early empire, and were found over a number of years by more than one person. It is likely that this is a dispersed Roman coin hoard dating to the mid to late 1st century AD. {1}
