The building is a two-storey, two-bay, terraced Georgian house, dating from the late 18th century. It is constructed of red brick under a white painted stucco render, and features a pantile roof. There is a later 19th century addition to the rear which would originally have functioned as an outside privy, serving both 8 and 10 Church Street. The building has seen some fairly substantial internal alterations from the original plan form and materials. {3}
